  • Vitamin D Detection

  • Quick result for Vitamin D

  • Available in Pharmacy

How to use

  • Wash hands with soap and rinse with clean lukewarm water.
  • Bring the package to room temperature before opening it. Open the package, remove the test and place it on a clean, flat surface. Perform the test within one hour of opening; you will get the best results by performing the test immediately after opening the aluminum package. Remove the dropper, buffer vial, sterile lancet and alcohol-soaked wipe by placing them near the test.
  • Pull gently to remove the lancet’s protective cap.
  • Use the alcohol-soaked washcloth to clean the tip of the middle or ring finger, where the puncture will be made. Wait until the affected area is dry again.
  • Press the pointer, from the side where the cap was removed. The tip automatically retracts after use. Massage your hand toward the fingertip of the middle or ring finger that was pricked (without touching the puncture site) to get a drop of blood.

  • With the hand facing downward massage toward the end that was pricked to get a drop of blood.
  • Place the capillary dropper in contact with the blood, without pressing the bulb. Blood will migrate into the capillary dropper until it reaches the line indicated on the dropper. One can massage the finger again to get more blood if the filling line has not been reached. As much as possible, try to avoid the formation of air bubbles.
  • Pour the collected blood into the sample well (S) on the device, press the dropper bulb.
  • Wait until the blood is completely poured into the well. Unscrew the cap of the buffer vial and add 2 drops of buffer to the sample well (B) on the device and start the timer.
  • Wait for the colored line(s) to appear. Read the results at 10 minutes. Compare the intensity of the T-line with the “Vitamin D color card” provided inside the kit to interpret the Vitamin D level in the blood. Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes.
